Crafting Dynamic Backgrounds from Animatic to Broadcast
In my role as a background designer for The Green Squad, I transformed initial animatic sketches into detailed, vibrant backdrops that enriched the storytelling. Witnessing these backgrounds come to life in the aired episodes across various countries, including France, Germany, Canada, and the United States, was a rewarding experience that highlighted the global reach of our work.
Designing the backgrounds for The Green Squad was a meticulous process that began with detailed line work to establish structure and composition. Next came vibrant coloring, carefully chosen to reflect the mood and tone of each scene. Finally, I added textures and lighting in Photoshop, bringing depth and realism to the environments. This step-by-step process ensured that every backdrop felt dynamic and immersive, perfectly complementing the show’s adventurous narrative.
